Senior Business Analyst for the RF IT (Risk and Finance IT) Data Management Horizontal, working on the Data Service Layer (DSL) application. The DSL is a component delivering a data abstraction service for large volumes of data across multiple physical data sources.
RF IT has over 4000 people supporting the Credit Suisse Chief Risk Officer (CRO) and Chief Finance Officer (CFO) shared service function. RF IT designs, develops and supports the IT systems that measure, manage and report on the market, credit and operational risk of the Credit Suisse group.
The role is to help support implementation of regulatory requirements within the DSL system, and the Business Analyst will support development of system functionality by producing functional requirement specifications distilled from business requirement documents. The ideal candidate will have a technical aptitude, understanding technology in a business context and enough business knowledge to be able to challenge the business requirements and be able to provide constructive feedback to business partners.
The successful candidate will be working within the Data Management area with a team based in New York, Raleigh London, India and Poland.
Engage with multiple stakeholders, including change teams, project managers and internal RF IT staff to gather business requirements, and clarify and understand complex data issues and data flows
Work closely with the application development team to ensure that requirements (both functional and non-functional) are understood and that technical solutions fully meet these requirements
Utilize standards, architectures, and processes to ensure that practices conform to company guidelines and industry best practices
Participate in all aspects of the project lifecycle, reporting regular progress to the Project Manager
Be the requirements Subject Matter Expert, managing and resolving questions arising from the development team, test team, clients and management
Provide detailed data analysis support for Credit Risk, Market Risk and Finance data

Minimum of 8 years of Business Analyst experience within IT with a strong understanding of technology and IT systems
Extensive knowledge on Trades, Sensitivities, Positions, Security, Collateral and Netting concepts
Exposed to Credit or Market Risk methodologies – VaR, PE, MPE, Standard and Specific Risk, P&L Valuations, Monte-Carlo
Strong data mining skills to perform detailed Business and Systems analysis
Data modelling experience
Ability to be able to produce Functional and Technical specifications that can be understood by Business and Technical users
Solid business requirements back ground, special focus on use cases and process models using UML/BPMN; must be able to demonstrate being able to convert vague requirements / stories into atomic requirements
Drives consensus and communicates requirements and results to stakeholders and management
